What Will Be in Premium
The premium tier is being designed around five subscriber-facing surfaces. Each one is a complete workflow on its own; together they cover the full decision chain from signal to closed position.
- Real-time trade alerts. Email and push notifications within minutes of every position entry and adjustment. Alerts include the full position structure, the entry pricing, the target and stop, and the rationale in the same format as the public trade log entries. Adjustments (rolls, hedge additions, partial closes) get their own alert — not a batched summary.
- Full position book. The complete book with every leg, every adjustment, and the full P&L trail — including losers that get summarized on the public site. Premium sees the closed trades that did not graduate to a public article, the positions that were sized too small to write up, and the adjustments that did not change the public narrative.
- Methodology deep-dives. The math, the historical backtests, and the reasoning behind every position type in the playbook. The public playbook describes what the rules are; the premium deep-dives show the data that built the rules. Each deep-dive includes the backtest period, the sample size, the drawdown profile, and the failure modes that prompted a rule change.
- Weekly recap. Sunday evening email with the week's P&L, what worked, what didn't, and the trades queued for the week ahead. The recap is not a market commentary — it's a position-level review with the same structure as the daily public entries, expanded to a week's worth of context.
- Direct Q&A. A monthly AMA thread where subscribers can ask methodology questions. The Q&A is not a stock-picking service; it's a venue for methodology questions on structure, sizing, adjustment logic, and the rules that produced (or failed to produce) a specific trade.
Who Premium Is For
Premium is designed for traders who already have a system and want to compare their decision-making against a published, time-stamped record. The public journal is the entry point — premium is the layer underneath it. If you read the public trade log and find yourself asking "what was the alt-trade they considered, and why did they pass?" that's the premium layer answering. If you read the playbook and want to see the data that built the rule, premium includes it. If you want a real-time alert stream so you can paper-trade the same setups in parallel, premium provides it.
Premium is not designed for subscribers who want stock picks, price targets, or "what do you think about $TICKER right now" answers. Those questions are routed to the disclaimer on the public site. The premium tier is a methodology and execution layer, not a signal service.
Pricing
Not yet set. Targeting an annual subscription at a level that pays for the time it takes to maintain the alert system and produce the deeper content. The price will be set before launch and announced to the notify list first. Specifics will be announced before launch — the price will be in the launch announcement, not on this page, so the page does not need to be updated when the price moves.
Why Not Launch Now
Premium launches after the public journal has at least 90 days of consistent entries. We want to validate the methodology and the audience before charging. Watch the public trade log and the playbook to see what you'd be paying for. The 90-day threshold is not arbitrary — it covers at least one full quarterly cycle (FOMC, earnings season, end-of-quarter rebalancing) and lets a new subscriber see the methodology across a full range of market conditions, not just a single regime.
Until the 90-day threshold is met, the public trade log is the live record. Premium content during the validation period would be premature — the methodology is still being tested in public, and publishing a "deep-dive" before the underlying trades have closed would just be speculation dressed as analysis.
Get Notified
Premium is not yet open. If you'd like to be notified when it launches, email the address in the site footer with the subject "Premium notify". You will get a single launch announcement — no marketing list, no follow-ups, no second email. The notify list is checked once when the launch announcement is sent and then archived. If you want to stay current with the public journal in the meantime, the forecasts page shows the daily market outlook, and the trade log shows every position the journal has entered.
Premium content will still be subject to the full disclaimer. A subscription is access to a trader's journal — not a signal service and not investment advice. The position alerts are not recommendations to enter the same trades; they are a record of what the journal is doing, published in real time. Each subscriber is responsible for their own trade decisions and their own risk management.
